Day 1: Gangtey – Gogona
Begin your trek from the beautiful Phobjikha Valley, near Gangtey. The trail gradually climbs through lush forests of blue pine, juniper and rhododendron. As you leave the valley behind, enjoy peaceful woodland surroundings and occasional views of the surrounding mountains.
Continue along the forest trail towards Gogona, a traditional highland village known for its peaceful setting and traditional lifestyle.
Trekking: Approximately 6 hours
Overnight: Gogona Camp
Day 2: Gogona – Khotoka
After breakfast, continue through beautiful forests and mountain landscapes. The trail passes through open meadows and traditional settlements before reaching Khotoka Valley.
Enjoy the changing scenery as the trail descends gradually through forests and farmland. Khotoka is a charming rural valley where you can experience the peaceful atmosphere of Bhutanese village life.
Trekking: Approximately 6–7 hours
Overnight: Khotoka Camp
Day 3: Khotoka – Tikke – Trongsa
Complete the final section of the trek through forests and traditional countryside. Continue towards Tikke, where your vehicle will meet you.
From Tikke, drive towards Trongsa, enjoying spectacular mountain scenery along the way. Celebrate the completion of your Gangtey Trek as you continue your journey through central Bhutan.
